Luchi Opens Up On New EP ‘Me + Tears Ain’t Strangers’

Luchi

Scottish singer Luchi has released Me + Tears Ain’t Strangers, a three-track EP that puts us in the passenger seat on a ride through the life of this performer.

Luchi – Me + Tears Ain’t Strangers

While still fitting under the “newcomer” category, Luchi is at this point in his career, a frequent name in the iTunes lists, with several of his singles reaching the top 10 Singer/Songwriter charts of this popular streaming service, including his debut song, Don’t Look Back.

This EP is an auditive voyage that takes us through a complicated year into the life of this artist and the events that took place during this period, exploring feelings of fear, anger, and healing in three solid sonorous chapters.

It would be difficult to think of a melody that defines the term “heartbreaking” better than the song He Said. Not only does Luchi perfectly depict the pain of a relationship going sour with his sincere lyrical display, but also his emotional delivery exudes that same intensity.

The next piece goes even deeper into the mind of Luchi, based on his personal struggles during the second lockdown, Losing My Mind tackles themes of mental health and isolation, containing some of the most sorrowful lyrics that this singer has written, once again giving a formidable performance, accompanied by an equally heavy-hearted piano rendition.

As some people would say: there is always some light at the end of the tunnel, and that sentiment prevails in the last tune, Faith which illustrates how after such hardships, Luchi found the strength to go on and the proper motivation to turn from a caterpillar into a butterfly.

Me + Tears Ain’t Strangers is a bold musical work, rich in sentimental sincerity and over-the-top performances.

With this EP, Luchi has displayed his most vulnerable side to date, not holding back anything and using his songwriting skills to find solace from a very troublesome time, the result is a highly reflective offering that many will relate to.
