FSOL 44. Winterhours ‘Ocean Heart’

Introducing or should I say re-introducing Winterhours a London / Winchester band that we first featured back in February 2012. Back then we hadn’t started our now weekly First Signs Of Love Feature, so it seems only fitting that Winterhours, a band we truly love is now duly added to the fold.

This is the latest single ‘Ocean Heart’ and it’s a wondrous 4min 20 journey. Winterhours do an incredible range in widescreen, epic indie and this single delivers this perfectly, aided and abetted by a wonderfully cinematic video.

The track flirts with folk before unleashing a delicious blend of jangling and intense guitar riffs. Like all great tracks it inspires enthusiasm and action. Personally I wanted to jump in my car and head to the coast to run around a beach like a lunatic. Just me?

This is a wide-eyed story of love that is hard to resist. More please Winterhours!

Hear this track ‘Ocean Heart’ on this week’s Lost On Radio podcast from Wednesday.
