Born in California but currently located in the San Francisco Bay Area, Daniela Galasso shares her new single ‘Embers’ the product of a songwriting challenge.

With just a handful of releases to her name, Daniela has already been recognised for her talent. Her song Yesterday’s Story earned 2nd place at The Indie International’s 2022 songwriting competition.
But the accolades don’t stop there because her latest offering, Embers (which is the lovely tune we are reviewing today), has already received honourable mentions from Indie International and WCS’s 2022 competitions.
Beautifully produced and performed, Embers presents an interesting dynamic between its Folk structure and the Electropop arrangements. Daniela’s candid vocals make it impossible to not smile after listening to this song for the first time.
Further discussing the unique creative process behind this piece, Galasso explains:
“I wrote Embers in the middle of winter in 2021, and it actually started with a songwriting challenge where I was given 10 words to include in a song. I can’t even remember all of the words at this point except I do remember the word “Anymore” was in the bunch…initially I left it out, but it was the last word so I decided to make the song more dramatic and created a post-chorus using it, which was super fun.”

Daniela Galasso has already demonstrated that she is not just another artist her sharp musicianship and meticulously written compositions are evidence of someone with a clear focus and direction.
