The Veta Corps made quite an impression on us back in September with previous single ‘You’ll Never Notice’ a stunning marriage of bittersweet vocals and layered harmonies. Now they are back with new single ‘Foot Soldiers’ and it doesn’t disappoint. When a band makes such a big impression, you’re almost afraid to pin your hopes on them, such is the level of expectation.
We need not have worried ‘Foot Soldiers’ (Because) is truly stunning. It’s the measure of a great track when after 5.30mins you are still disappointed when it ends. This is a magnificent layered soundscape of emotional intensity and musical depth.
