Eternal Dream Machine bring the noise on their thunderous new single Halle Doo-Wah.
Eternal Dream Machine – Halle Doo-Wah
Eternal Dream Machine certainly know how to get their point across. On their new tune, Halle Doo-Wah, they have concocted a potent, heady, rock ‘n’ roll soup – a blend of innumerable styles and sounds all coming together to make something impactful and exciting.
Albert Sanchez’s thunderous drums open proceedings from the San Diego, California-based band. Shortly joined by Aldair Cerezo on guitar, Ever De La Rosa on bass and frontman Ricky Soltero on vocals and guitar, the quartet wasted no time in finding their feet.
A formidable, hypnotic noise quickly ensues. Swampy and syrupy, Halle Doo-Wah is an absolute wall of sound. Propulsive, pulsating and psychedelic, it shifts and slithers for just over three minutes, absorbing everything in its path.
Think Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s Six Barrel Shotgun mixed with drone sensibilities, Sleep-style stoner dirge, krautrock persistence and Jesus & Mary Chain-esque fuzz, and you’re somewhere in the right ballpark.
Be sure to do yourself a favour and check out the awesomely trippy, suitably scuzzy accompanying music video too (directed and edited by Ricky Soltero)!
“Meditative, mesmeric and magical, Halle Doo-Wah is an exhilarating rock n roll ride.”
“Based in San Diego, California, the music carries echoes of the ocean – vast, rolling, and relentless.”
