Following her breakout single Tattoos, rising artist Emilia returns with her much-anticipated follow-up, Beautiful Boy a bold and poetic exploration of infatuation, obsession, and the intense vulnerability of youthful desire. At just 15, Emilia continues to defy expectations with her mature storytelling and atmospheric soundscapes.
Beautiful Boy blends melancholic vocals, shimmering melodies, and striking lyrical contrasts to capture the electrifying pull of admiration from afar, where fantasy blurs with reality and longing becomes almost surreal.
“I wanted to capture that feeling of falling for someone you barely know, but somehow feel connected to,” Emilia explains. “It’s innocent, intense, a bit scary, and completely real when you’re feeling it. There’s something beautiful and strange about those emotions.”
The lyrics shift from tender admiration: “beautiful boy with the kindest voice / and pale green eyes” to darker undercurrents of obsession “let me gouge out your eyes / leave them on me day and night”.
Beautiful Boy is both dreamy and dark. It showcases Emilia’s rare ability to blend emotional fragility with fearless honesty. Emilia proves once again that age is no barrier to emotional depth.
