ALYSSAD makes a striking return with ‘bitter taste of a god’, a haunting alternative track that deepens her modern rock imprint.
ALYSSAD – bitter taste of a god
ALYSSAD is the musical identity of Alyssa de Boisblanc, who first gained attention as a child actress before stepping into a darker, more expressive creative space as a musician. Her sound fuses alternative, rock, and pop with a gritty grunge aesthetic, drawing influence from Paramore, Evanescence, Maggie Lindemann, and Flyleaf, yet shaped into something unmistakably her own.
With producer Max Haunt at her side, ALYSSAD has already drawn significant attention; each of her first three singles, holy ghost, butterf(lies), and puppetmaster, has racked up hundreds of thousands of streams despite her relatively small catalogue.
ALYSSAD has brought her intense, genre-blending sound to some of Los Angeles’s most iconic stages, including The Viper Room, El Cid, The Hotel Café (BMI Showcase), and Whisky A Go Go, where she opened for rock icon Lita Ford. With three well-received singles already under her belt, she’s showing no signs of slowing down. Her latest release, Bitter Taste of a God, signals a bold step forward as she continues to grow as an artist.
From the first piano chords, Bitter Taste of a God creates a poignant atmosphere, deepened by ALYSSAD’s aching vocal delivery. However, the sorrowful calm doesn’t last long; strident guitars and punchy drums quickly take over, transforming the track into an alt-rock powerhouse. As the intensity builds, ALYSSAD’s voice escalates, infused with raw passion that drives this emotionally charged anthem forward.
“Bitter Taste of a God is a modern alt-rock banger, bursting with edge and intensity, crafted for mainstream rock airplay and bound to leave listeners captivated.”
With just a few releases, ALYSSAD has already established herself as a powerful presence in the independent modern rock scene. Her streaming numbers continue to rise, and she has crafted a distinct sound that is both uniquely hers and highly engaging. This promising trajectory leaves much to look forward to in her future projects.
