Having previously highlighted ‘The Preatures’ talent on this blog ‘Manic Baby’ is their latest track to reach RCM ears. It comes from the new EP ‘Is This How You Feel?’ which launched in Australia on August 9th and is available to download from iTunes.
A Foals: Inhaler-esque intro leads in to the melody which wraps seamlessly around a simple but effective beat. It’s short, it’s punchy and it’s rhythmic, ‘Manic Baby’ is both catchy and characteristically cool.
“When I got a message, I keep my mind on it,” – apt words, and since forming in 2010 it’s fairly clear why these guys are packing their bags for a sold out tour of their homeland in September. Check out the Youtube clip for occasional raunchy dancing through vintage disco eyes.
