The Ambushed Poets share new single ‘Stay With Me’ ahead of their eagerly awaited new EP ‘Holding Out Hope’.
The Ambushed Poets – Stay With Me
The Ambushed Poets are a five-piece, guitar-based band from the UK, who met as friends at school before later finding their drummer, Cookie. The band gives off indie rock vibes with their music and are known for their energetic live shows. They recently released their new track ‘Stay with Me’, which will be featured on their upcoming E.P. ‘Holding Out Hope’, an entirely self-produced, mixed, and mastered project.
From the very first note of ‘Stay with Me’, the song bursts with energy, the bold bassline, crisp drums, and snappy guitar giving the listener an immediate jolt of excitement. The guitar riff is fast-paced and driving, bringing an upbeat, almost infectious energy that makes you want to move along with the rhythm. Delivered with a sense of defiance, the vocals add a rebellious streak, perfectly complementing the anthemic, gritty instrumentation.
During the chorus of the song, we hear the lyrics: “Stay with me, trying to turn it all around, one day I hope you’ll come around” which I feel provides a good contrast to the track. The deeply poignant lyrics reflect the ache of losing love and moving on, while the music remains upbeat and fun.
The guitar-filled track evokes the spirit of indie music—honest and raw—making it something I feel will connect with many of its listeners. The song carries a sense of sadness, but the lyrics offer a glimmer of hope, questioning whether things can get better.
“A rebellious track that’s full of raw passion and excitement!”
The song ends with a thunderous finish, the final chord ringing out with undeniable energy, leaving us with a sense of accomplishment.
