Marking a year since the first national lockdown, the mesmeric northern four-piece ‘Sounds Like A Storm release their newest hard-hitting, fiery single ‘Make It Better’.

‘Make It Better’ is a deeply impassioned 3 minutes and 3 seconds of forthright emotional vulnerability. The openness of the lyricism paired with the blazingly intense instrumental backing forms a cleverly rich contrast. The single is a beautifully curated piece of musical artistry.
The track is like an elegant wave crashing against the shore with its gradually building instrumental sections that suddenly explode into stormy choruses.
Touching on the lyricism once again, the words demonstrate both the feelings of despair and hope – another wonderfully intense disparity. For vocalist Sennen Ludman, the lyrics are sincerely honest, with him saying “ At the time I wrote this song my dad was in hospital, I wrote this tune one night in the month of January, it came from nowhere. I suppose lyrically I am picturing things I love, this escapism from hospital wards and the trauma of what I was going through.”
‘Make It Better’ showcases the young virtuosos stunning ability to create masterpieces made for the masses. Sounds Like A Storm – remember the name – because it certainly is not the last you will be hearing of them this year.
