Rae Larz is a Brooklyn-based, self-proclaimed fire power. Moving from Texas to NYC at just 18, her actions speak for themselves. All this raw, bad girl energy is channelled yet untamed on her new single ‘Nail Talk’.
Rae Larz wrote, produced and engineered the entire track. The whole track oozes fierce, true attitude and the essence of not caring what anyone has to say. Music made for the sake of art, not in the hope of more – a common theme of my praise.
The main lyrics are repeated many times and are catchy without being intruding. The almost freestyle-like verses are very good segways back into the avant-garde chorus. The whole song can be described as nothing but unique and is a testament to creative freedom and vision.
To accompany the powerful song is an equally unique, wild music video. It details Rae and her squad in the streets of NYC, all adorning a variety of bold, striking outfits. The video is simple and effective, adding to the mystery of Rae Larz.
