OCHISIA introduce Remains of Yesterday, the first single from their upcoming release. It blends the intensity of post-hardcore with emotionally raw lyricism.
OCHISIA – Remains of Yesterday
Hailing from Newcastle Upon Tyne, OCHISIA are a post-hardcore band known for their emotionally heavy lyrics, often touching on darker themes while leaving space for hope and resilience. Their sound draws inspiration from some of the most iconic acts of the genre, including The Used, Funeral For A Friend, Black Veil Brides, and Taking Back Sunday.
In the early stages of their career, OCHISIA have already made an impression, supporting bands like Bilk and The Mercians on UK tours. These live performances have helped them cultivate a dedicated local fanbase in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Their momentum continues online, with standout tracks like An Elegy and Death Never Comes Easy earning thousands of streams and solidifying their presence in the post-hardcore scene.
Offering a glimpse into their upcoming EP, OCHISIA unveil Remains of Yesterday, a track that explores the emotional highs and destructive lows of alcohol consumption, with a faint light of hope woven throughout. The song combines distorted guitar riffs and energetic drums with a striking mix of clean and screamed vocals, all building toward a gripping guitar solo that closes the piece on a high note.
“Remains of Yesterday is a gripping example of well-crafted post-hardcore, equal parts raw emotion and sharp intensity. Balancing grit with vulnerability, the track stands out as a striking showcase of OCHISIA’s ability to deliver hard-hitting, emotionally resonant rock.”
Following Remains of Yesterday, OCHISIA will release their second single, Drenched on July 23rd, leading up to the full launch of their EP In Your Absence on August 18th. To mark the occasion, they’ll headline their biggest show yet at The Cluny on August 15th, 2025, a milestone worth marking on your calendar.
