Forgotten Garden Are Caught In The ‘Rain’

Forgotten Garden 'Rain' on Right Chord Music Blog

Forgotten Garden seamlessly mesh sounds and cultures to produce their transcendent new track, ‘Rain’.

Forgotten Garden – Rain

The roots of Forgotten Garden go a long way in explaining their unique sound. They describe themselves as a Scottish-Portuguese Indie band. Inês Rebelo and Danny Elliott are musical savants. Inês handles the vocal duties. Danny is on the guitar and keyboard.

Both artists come together on production, further enhancing their blended sound. They have crafted their soulful sound through many years of consistently well-crafted music. ‘Rain’ is a further culmination of cultures, with Mel D, hailing from Argentina, providing a powerful bassline.

The duo’s vocals play off each other through deft touches of subtle play. Inês’ voice is soft and slightly bitter. She intends to bring about gorgeous anguish. The rugged male voice chases hers as it cascades, and he catches it when it falls. Inês’ vocal nuances during different deliveries of the title word are hauntingly mesmerising.

The chosen words suggest nothing but pain. The entirely gloomy feel of ‘Rain’ is poignantly poetic. The track’s running time of three minutes and forty-three seconds is extremely hard to comprehend post-listen. It feels like the track should trickle on forever.

Forgotten Garden have been together since 2019 and have been releasing music since 2020. Their sensational 2022 track ‘Memoriam’ was previously reviewed on RCM. Their entire discography is littered with dark, delicate lyricism and otherworldly sound. ‘Rain’ is simply another gem to add to an already diamond-coated musical catalogue.

“Forgotten Garden perfectly portrays beautiful demise with their breathtaking new release ‘Rain’.”
