39th Gate of Hell 'Love Hearts' on Right Chord Music

Garage trio ’39th Gate of Hell’ deliver a powerful message of self-love and acceptance on Love Hearts.

39th Gate of Hell – Love Hearts

With a raw punk energy and gritty garage sound, 39th Gate of Hell is an emerging female-fronted band with an international edge. Frontwoman Ayse Balkose, a Turkish-born spoken word artist, joins forces with guitarist and singer Ash Gray from Austin, TX, creating a bold combination of style and attitude.

The band’s musical versatility is on full display, effortlessly shifting between playful, humorous tracks and heavier, more serious themes, all driven by a powerful, groove-heavy sound. Their sixth official release, Love Hearts, explores themes of self-love and acceptance, cleverly employing a drug allegory to convey its message. As Ayse Balkose explains:

The song proclaims to not really be about a drug itself but a realization for the need of self acceptance. The drug of addiction is itself a vehicle for learning to be completely open and inclusive

Opening with a dense, sludgy wall of distorted guitars that hits hard and grabs your attention, the track expertly weaves Ayse’s spoken-word verses with an infectious chorus repeating, “here we’re, here we’re, coming to you with our love hearts,” a line so catchy it will stay stuck in your mind for days.

“Love Hearts is a raucous, unforgettable garage banger, with impactful lyrics and an addictive performance that make it essential listening.”

To support their upcoming EP, set for release in February 2026, 39th Gate of Hell will hit the road for several live shows. Highlights include an October 15th performance in Sheffield with hardcore acts The Crutches and Rat Cage, as well as November gigs in Texas, including a November 30 showcase in Austin alongside local favourites Pocket Fisherman at Nomad Bar.
